Born in Grenoble, France, Rézé is a songwriter and composer who started his life as an artist on the roads of West Africa.
He studied jazz guitar at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Villeurbanne, France, then moved to Salvador da Bahia to discover the musical traditions of Brazil.
His repertoire forms the basis of "Le Voyage de Rézé", a show combining songs, music and live drawing, which he performed in a number of countries, from the French islands of La Reunion and Saint Pierre-et-Miquelon, to Salvador, Brazil, Burkina Faso, and Angola.
Enriched from these experiences, his performances develop a poetic, unique and universal language.

Rézé is a songwriter and composer from Grenoble, in the French Alps.
He left home at the age of 20, hitchhiking to West Africa, and took his first steps as an artist in concert cafés, studios, festivals and other venues in Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso and Benin.
Trained in jazz guitar and improvisation in France at the Conservatoire de St Égrève, then at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Villeurbanne, he then spent a year developing his artistic universe in Brazil, playing with musicians from Salvador da Bahia, then in Istanbul and Beirut, getting to practice the traditional modal melodic approaches.
He released his first EP in 2018, “Le Voyage de Rézé”, accompanied by percussionist François 'soifran' Brossier and cartoonist and notebook artist emdé, supported by Les Productions du Bazar, in the form of a concert-drawing which they played in La Réunion, El Salvador, Burkina Faso, Brazil, as far as St Pierre et Miquelon and Angola.
He also collaborates with the Brazilian music collective Samba pros Vizinhos, the Cuban music collective El Colectivo Caliente, artists Ronald Vaz and Maria Luma, among others, and the Compagnie P'tits Sourires for theater.
Whether solo or in a group, his singing and guitar playing blend a variety of musical roots into a singular and universal language.
